About Mughdaddes Ioan Kilsesi Church
Built on the site of an ancient pagan sanctuary.
Large statues of the founders of the temple with appropriate inscriptions are located under the dome among the small trumpets. Sisavank, according to its plan design, repeats the main features of the structures – the churches of Avan, Hripsime. In contrast to similar temples, the space under the dome here is exactly square, all the apses are equal to each other and have three large windows each, and there are wide-sided, regular altars in the eastern corner rooms.
