St. Gregory the Illuminator Church

In 1897, the representatives of the Melik-Huseinian dynasty of Goris initiated the construction of an Armenian church in the city of Goris, due to the inconvenience of using the church of the Old Goris village on the left bank of the Vararakn River, as well as the presence of a Russian church operating in the city. The entire city participated in the fundraising.
